Tim Rowlands is an independent, contemporary classical music composer and musician.
Born in 1977 in Bangor, North Wales, Tim spent most of his childhood growing up in Penygroes near Caernarfon. Demonstrating a keen interest in music from an early age, he received piano lessons from a number of local piano teachers, who guided him through various eisteddfods and piano exams.

Tim studied music at the University of Wales Bangor, where he graduated in 1998 with a BMus. Following further postgraduate study, he also received a Diploma in Music Technology (DipMusTech), a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and a Performance Diploma with the London College of Music (DipLCM).
Astudiodd gerddoriaeth ym Mhrifysgol Cymru, Bangor, lle y graddiodd ym 1998 gyda BMus. Ar ol astudiaeth ol-radd pellach, derbyniodd ddiploma DipMusTech, Tystysgrif Ol-radd mewn Addysg a Diploma Perfformiad yng Ngholeg Cerddoriaeth Llundain.
Mae'n aelod o fwrdd ymddiriedolwyr North Wales Music Tuition a ITACA. Mae hefyd yn gyfarwyddwr-sylfaenydd Livewire Recording Studios Ltd.
Tim is a member of the board of trustees for North Wales Music Tuition and ITACA. He is also a former founding director of Livewire Recording Studios Ltd.
